Sandwich panels are composite materials produced of two dyed Galvanized or Aluminum corrugated plates filled (with PIR, PUR, Mineral Wool) for thermal insulation. Used as coating materials in the roof, wall and internal partition or cold rooms of the buildings, sandwich panels provide a quite high level of thermal, water, sound insulation; prevent moisture condensation. In addition, they are distinguished with their bearing capacity as well. Bearing capacity of the sandwich panel depends on the density, thickness of its filling material and the form of its metal surfaces. Sandwich panel is an economical solution when assessed within the context of cost-benefit analysis. Thickness of the metals (DGS, Aluminum) and filling materials is determined in accordance with the area of usage and the amount of load they will bear. Sandviç Panel Malzemeleri

Poliüretan, PIR, Polistren, Fenolik gibi tüm malzemeler Plastik Köpük, Taşyünü ise İnorganik lifli malzeme olarak iki ayrı grupta adlandırılmaktadır.

Aralarındaki fark veya sundukları performanslar sıklıkla merak edilen hususlardan biridir. Geniş kullanım alanına sahip sandviç panellerin teknik özellikleri bakımından yanlış anlaşılmaların yanında eksik bilgilendirmenin var olduğunu da kabul etmek gerekir.

Yapı fiziğine uygun mekanik dayanım, yalıtım, yangın performansı ve üretim aşamaları dikkate alınarak doğru kompozit sandviç panel tercihinde çekirdek malzeme tipi çok önemli rol oynamaktadır.

Bu açıdan yaklaşıldığında, malzemelerden beklenen tüm başarımları doğru belirleyip karşılaştırmak ayrıca önem kazanmaktadır.

PUR / PIR (Poliüretan) : Poliüretan (PUR) ve Polisoziyanat (PIR) sandviç panel üretiminde en sık kullanılan plastik köpüklerdir. Genellikle laminasyolu hatlarda kullanılması tercih edilen bu tür plastik köpüklerin Köpürme aşamasında yapışma özelliğinin olması çok önemli üstünlükler sunmaktadır. Son yıllarda kimyasal özellikleri daha da geliştirilerek yangın başarımları yükseltilmiştir. Üretiminde çevreye duyarlı n-pentane şişirici gaz tercih edilmektedir. Poliüretan, sandviç panel üretiminde yaklaşık 50 yıldır kullanılmakta olup en güvenilir yalıtım malzemesi olarak bilinmektedir.

XPS / EPS (Polistren) : Polistren köpükler, Extrude (XPS) ve Expanded (EPS) olmak üzere iki formda bulunmaktadır. Sandviç panel uygulamalarında ilave yapıştırıcı kullanılarak metal yüzeylere tutulmaktadır. Termoplastik olarak vasıflandırılan polistren köpükler düşük sıcaklıklarda erimektedirler.

Fenolik (PF) : Fenolik köpükler diğer plastik köpüklere nazaran biraz daha yeni bir malzemedir. Sandviç panelde çok az tercih edilmektedir. Plastik köpükler içerisinde en iyi yangın performansını Fenolik köpükler sunmaktadır.

Taşyünü : Bazalt, dolomit, diyabaz gibi kayaların ergitilip püskürtülmelerinden ve bakalitle karıştırılarak sonrasında özel işlemlerden geçirilmesi sonucu elde edilen mineral yün çeşididir. Yangına dayanıklılık ve ses yalıtımında mükemmel sonuçlar veren taşyünü, ısı yalıtımında plastik köpüklere kıyasla daha düşük yalıtım değerlerine sahiptir.
